IED blast in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma: 1 CRPF officer killed, 10 injured

An IED blast triggered by Maoists in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh on Saturday night killed an Assistant Commandant of Central Reserve Police Force’s (CRPF) CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action), while ten others were injured. Inspector General of Police (IG) Bastar, Sunderaj P, said that a team of CoBRA was out for anti-naxal operation late on Saturday night when the security personnel were injured. They were airlifted to Raipur. On Sunday morning an Assistant Commandant, Nitin Bhalerao, succumbed to his injuries,” the IG said.
