According to ICMR, nearly 11% of patients who have been tested so far due to severe acute respiratory illness or SARI, have been found positive for Covid-19. In what could be the first signal of community transmission of Covid-19 in the country, 110 such people were tested and of them 12 have tested positive. Those who were tested due to SARI hospitalisations are largely without any foreign travel history. Govt authorities however maintain, these cases were too 'sporadic' to infect others.
