A 17-year-old Canadian girl named Karis Wilson was sent back home from her school for wearing an outfit that was deemed 'inappropriate' by the school authorities.
Wilson was wearing a knee-length black dress with lace trim over a white turtleneck jumper with long sleeves. A female teacher at the NorKam Senior Secondary School, in British Columbia province allegedly called-out Wilson for wearing a dress that reminded her of a "lingerie outfit" and said that her outfit could "possibly make a male student or teacher feel awkward". Additionally, the principal said the school's dress code bans students from wearing clothing "that is distracting to teaching or learning".
