HUL mulls legal options against National Anti-Profiteering Authority
FMCG major Hindustan Unilever Limited on Wednesday said that it is considering taking legal options against the fine levied by the GST anti-profiteering body. The National Anti-Profiteering Authority had fined the consumer goods company 223 crore rupees for not passing rate cut benefits to customers. The NAA had stated that it found the firm of not reducing the maximum retail price of its products even after GST rate on several products were cut from 28 per cent to 18 per cent. The authority said that it found HUL of not passing tax reduction benefits to the tune of 383 crore rupees to its consumers.
