A giant fish, believed to belong to the Ray family, was caught by fishermen off Bengal's Digha coast. Believed to be a Manta Ray, it weighed almost 800 kilos and local fishermen called it the Shankar fish. The 8 feet long, 5 feet wide fish resembles an elephant's ear! As the news spread, a fish trading firm from West Bengal offered to buy the prized catch for Rs 50,000. Fishermen in the coastal town claimed that this is the heaviest fish they have ever caught.
