The age verification process already requires uploading an official ID.

Instagram is adding new options for users to verify their age on the platform.
Instagram originally added an age verification feature in 2019, however the system was ineffective because users were just required to enter their date of birth to complete the procedure.
Later, it was announced that age verification will require uploading an official ID, such as a driver's license.
New users, or users who try to edit their age from under 18 to over 18 will now be expected to either upload a video selfie, or ask their friends to validate their age, or upload an ID. Therefore, users now have three ways to verify their age and can choose whatever suits them the best.
If you upload a video selfie, Instagram will send it to Yoti, whose facial recognition system will estimate your age based on your facial traits. The company claims that your information is erased within 30 days.
If you opt for your friends to verify your age, then, the person vouching must be at least 18 years old, must not be vouching for anyone else at that time and will need to meet certain company policies.
Thorn, a non-profit organisation dedicated to child protection, found in a 2021 survey that more than 40 percent of children under the age of 13 use Instagram and other social media networks that promise to exclude them.

The company demoed the new experience at their annual re:MARS, or Machine Learning, Automation, Robotics, and Space event. Amazon&rsquo;s head scientist for Alexa AI, Rohit Prasad, showed a video in which a child asks Alexa to read a bedtime story in the voice of his dead grandmother.
Prasad introduced the clip by saying that adding &ldquo;human attributes&rdquo; to AI systems was increasingly important &ldquo;in these times of the ongoing pandemic, when so many of us have lost someone we love.&rdquo;

Amazon has not clarified whether this feature will ever be made available to the public, but claims that its systems can imitate someone&rsquo;s voice from just a minute of recorded audio.
Social media users have called the controversial feature &lsquo;horrifying&rsquo; and &lsquo;creepy&rsquo;, as the world already grapples with questions of ethics around deepfakes in both audio and video.

Currently, people on Twitter have to post pictures with text or rely on external links if they want to make an announcement that&rsquo;s longer than the platform&rsquo;s 280-character limit.
Twitter apparently does not like this as it can often steer users away from the platform.&nbsp;
"Since the company's earliest days, writers have depended on Twitter to share their work, get noticed, be read, create conversation - everything but the actual writing," the company said in its statement. &ldquo;With Notes, the goal is to fill in that missing piece.&rdquo;

So, it may still be a while before Apple releases a full-fledged device that can support augmented reality experiences without needing an iPhone.

Over the Dimensity 9000, the plus version gets a 5 percent CPU boost and a 10 percent GPU boost. There are also improvements to image signal processing and the 5G modem.
The speed of the Dimensity 9000+'s high-performance cores has been increased from 3.05GHz to 3.2GHz.
It retains the same 1+3+4 configuration, but with three Cortex-A710 cores and four high-efficiency Cortex-A510 cores. The Mali-G710 MC10 GPU has been boosted as well.&nbsp;

The MediaTek Imagiq 790 can capture 18-bit HDR footage from three cameras at the same time. It also supports still photographs up to 320MP and has a processing speed of 9 gigapixels per second. 4K HDR video recording is also supported.
In addition, MediaTek's MiraVision 790 supports WDHD+ displays with frame rates of 144Hz or 180Hz at FHD and Wi-Fi display support up to 4K60 for HDR content. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 are also supported by the 9000+.
MediaTek claims that the Dimensity 9000+ might debut in smartphones as early as this year's third quarter.

Analysis of Hermit revealed that it can be used to gain control of smartphones, record audio, redirect calls, and gather information including contacts, messages, photos, and location.
