Himachal Pradesh is all set to welcome tourists as the hotels, which have been shut for approximately 6 months, are now set to open on the 1st of October. Over 2,000 hotels, guest houses, home-stays and resorts in Shimla, Dharamshala, McLeodganj, Dalhousie and Kullu-Manali will resume operations with a host of measures against Covid-19. These include compulsory masks, hand sanitizers and gloves among others. Bars will continue to be shut. The move comes after rules for tourists were relaxed recently. While the e-pass for interstate travel still stands, the 5-day mandatory booking has come down to 2 days. A negative Covid-19 test report can now be 96 hours old, longer than the earlier 72-hour window.
