'The Queen' actor Michael Sheen has revealed why returned the Order of the British Empire that was bestowed upon him by Queen Elizabeth II in 2009. Speaking about returning the OBE honour during an interview, Sheen said that the more he learnt about the Welsh history & culture while preparing to give a lecture in 2017, the more he realised that he would be a hypocrite to hold on to the OBE title. The actor added that he didn’t mean any disrespect, but he realised he’d be a hypocrite if he said the things he was going to say in the lecture & held on to the title.
