Vijay Varma is receiving praise for his performance in Alia Bhatt’s maiden production venture ‘Darlings’. The actor has recently talked about the boycott culture of Bollywood movies in an exclusive interview with India Today. The actor finds this culture scary and said that he tried to understand its cause but has not been able to find an answer. 
He said, ‘It can scare you. It has just gone a bit overboard now. I feel something that you said 10 years ago could have been objectionable, and made a few people raise their eyebrows. It could be a prevalent exercise at that time, but in today’s times, it is no longer frowned upon. I feel you cannot be canceled for something like that.' 
‘For example, I go to a house in Rajasthan and there are leopard and tiger skins on display. When that house was probably built it was very normal to have dead animal skins on display...We have now understood how dangerous and cruel this is for the wildlife and animals. But people at that time, a family who has seen four generations of animal skins on their wall and have not educated themselves. Can we cancel them?’ He added. 
‘If they have not educated themselves and are not in sync with the current times, do we become so bad to them that they get canceled in a rude way? These are thoughts I keep thinking about. I don't really have an answer. I feel education and catching up on time is very important. But times and trends are changing so quickly. A comedian who must have said something 10 years ago, can have those lines come back to haunt him right now.’ He concluded.

His wife Shikha Srivastava told news agency PTI that he's a 'fighter' and will come back to be amongst us all. 'He is stable. Doctors are treating him well. The comedian was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences after he suffered a heart attack on August 10. He underwent angioplasty the same day and has been on a ventilator since then.Raju Srivastava was trending on Twitter on Thursday with many speculating about his health. Earlier in the day, reports also suggested that the comedian was critical and had suffered brain damage. 
His wife has urged the media and fans to not spread rumours as it affects the family's 'morale'. 
'My sincere request is kindly do not spread rumors. It affects our morale. We do not want negative energy, we need positivity. Please pray for his speedy recovery and that he will be back soon. Doctors are giving their best and Raju ji is supporting them, He is fighting. So, kindly do not spread negativity,' she said.
Raju Srivastava has been a familiar face in the entertainment industry since the late 1980s. He gained recognition after participating in the first season of stand-up comedy show 'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge' in 2005. 
He appeared in Hindi films such as 'Maine Pyar Kiya', 'Baazigar', 'Bombay to Goa' (remake), and 'Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya'. He was one of the contestants on 'Bigg Boss' season three.

Now, R Madhavan has reacted to the latest boycott trend and the comparative success of films from the south.
During the teaser launch of his upcoming film 'Dhokha - Round D Corner' in Mumbai, the actor was asked to comment on the disappointing performance of the recent big-ticket Hindi films, including 'Laal Singh Chaddha'. To which, he responded that nobody starts off thinking that they're making a wrong film. He said the intent, hard work behind the film is just as intense as with every film that an actor works on or doesn't. 
He further stated that the perception that south films are outperforming Hindi movies is wrong as only a handful of films have done well. 
'As far as south films are concerned, Baahubali 1, Baahubali 2, RRR, Pushpa, KGF: Chapter 1 and KGF: Chapter 2 are the only south Indian films that have done better than movies of Hindi film actors. It is only six films, we can't call it a pattern. If good films come, they'll work,' he said. 
Madhvan believes that if good content is given to the audience, they will go and watch films in theatres, regardless of the language. He said Hindi films have failed to create magic in theatres as the preferences of audience has changed in the post-pandemic era. 
'Post COVID-19, people's liking and preferences have changed... So if we make the kind of films that people will watch, with the kind of films that are coming today, we'll have to become a little bit more progressive,' he said.
Madhavan's 'Dhokha – Round D Corner', directed by Kookie Gulati, will release in theatres on September 23.

Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is irked with director Anurag Kashyap over his recent comment on 'The Kashmir Files' Oscar bid. Recently, in an interview with Galatta Plus, Anurag talked about India's entry at the Oscars this year and expressed hope that the Vivek Agnihotri directorial isn't nominated for the Academy Awards.&nbsp;
'India might have a nomination in the final five if RRR is the film they pick. I don&rsquo;t know what film anybody is going to pick. I hope not The Kashmir Files,' he said. &nbsp;
Reacting to this, Agnihotri tweeted: 'The vicious, genocide-denier lobby of Bollywood has started their campaign against #TheKashmirFiles for #Oscars, under the leadership of the maker of #Dobaaraa.'
Now, in a conversation with Hindustan Times, Vivek said that Anurag's comment 'wasn&rsquo;t hurtful' as he has 'faced worse criticism'.&nbsp;
'These people have been running a campaign against me for many years. In this case, it was a wrong precedent. This is ethically wrong. You can share your preference, but why are you saying which film shouldn&rsquo;t go (to the Oscars)?,' he said.
The director said that he has 'never looked up to the Oscars', but he is speaking up because it's important to defend the film.He further listed a few points that made him upset about Anurag Kashyap&rsquo;s comment. He asked, 'If somebody is saying it (The Kashmir Files) shouldn&rsquo;t go to the Oscars, the first question is: Why is he so scared of the film? Second: Why doesn&rsquo;t he want the stories of Hindu genocide to be told to the world? Thirdly, is he a genocide-denier?&rdquo;

Kareena Kapoor Khan’s famous character from ‘Jab We Met’ has always been the favourite of fans and in a recent clip from ‘Case Toh Banta Hai’ she was seen pulling out a Geet. Varun Sharma has recently shared a hilarious video clip from the Prime show where Kareena can be seen saying her dialogues from the popular movie.  
In the video from the comedy series, the latter is seen complaining on dates ruled out by court. In a funny reply, Varun says that the ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ actor was busy with her parlour and designer appointments and so she was given dates by the court.  Kareena first complains that she is not getting justice and exclaims ‘tareekh pe tareekh,’ to which Varun replies, ‘Aise kaise milega insaaf, har tareekh pe to busy chal rahe ho, kabhi parlour, kabhi designer ki appointment (Will you get justice like this? It’s you who’s busy on every date for your parlour and designer appointments.) 
After this Kareena replies ‘Ab sikhayega mujhe, Sikhni hu main Bathinda ki, sab aata hai mujhe, train pakadne se lekar case jeetne tak (You will teach me? I am a Sikh woman from Bathinda. I know everything from catching a train to winning a case).’ 
Actor Riteish Deshmukh is playing a public lawyer in the show. Actor Kusha Kapila plays the judge and actors and comedians Gopal Datt, Paritosh Tripathi, Monica Murthy, Sanket Bhosle, Sugandha Mishra and Siddharth Sagar play witnesses.

Varun Sharma shared a glimpse from an episode of Amazon miniTV's comedy show 'Case To Banta Hai', featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan. The 'Fukrey' actor plays the role of Kareena's lawyer on the show. In the video shared by him, Bebo is seen channeling her character Geet from 'Jab We Met'. She is seen flipping through a bunch of papers and complaining about getting &lsquo;tareekh pe tareekh (hearing date after hearing date)&rsquo; in the case but not getting justice.&nbsp;
Varun then questions her about how she expects to get justice when she is always busy when called to court.
