Angelina Jolie recently made a surprising revelation regarding her future in Hollywood and Los Angeles. The actor, formerly married to Brad Pitt, disclosed her intentions to depart from LA.
In a rare interview, Angelina expressed a desire to potentially relocate to Cambodia when the timing aligns. She cited her divorce from Brad and the accompanying legal processes as one of the reasons prompting her consideration of leaving LA.
Speaking with The Wall Street Journal, Angelina Jolie shared, &lsquo;I wouldn&rsquo;t be an actress today. When I was starting out, it wasn&rsquo;t as much of an expectation to be as public, to share so much. Because I grew up around Hollywood, I was never very impressed with it. I never bought into it as significant or important.&rsquo;
Opening up about leaving LA, Angelina said, &lsquo;It&rsquo;s part of what happened after my divorce. I lost the ability to live and travel as freely. I will move when I can. I grew up in quite a shallow place. Of all the places in the world, Hollywood is not a healthy place. So you seek authenticity.&rsquo;
Confirming that she is not dating anyone right now, Angelina said her &lsquo;closest friends are refugees.&rsquo; She also added that her kids are her friends.
&lsquo;They are the closest people to me and my life, and they&rsquo;re my close friends. We&rsquo;re seven very different people, which is our strength,&rsquo; she said.
Angelina Jolie shares six children with Brad Pitt &mdash; Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. She confessed that the divorce took a toll on all of them.
&lsquo;We had to heal. There are things we needed to heal from,&rsquo; she said.
The divorce proceedings between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt began after an alleged intense incident on a flight in 2016.
Jolie's legal documentation in 2022 alleged that Brad exhibited &lsquo;verbal abuse,&rsquo; &lsquo;physical&rsquo; behavior, and attempted to 'choke' one of their children.
The documents also mentioned instances where Brad poured beer on Jolie and both beer and red wine on the children.
Following their separation in 2016, Angelina has had custody of their children. There have been no public sightings of Brad with the children since the reported altercation.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee acknowledged the absence of superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan at the 29th Kolkata International Film Festival's inaugural ceremony on December 5.
She mentioned that Amitabh Bachchan couldn't attend due to health reasons, while Shah Rukh Khan was occupied with promoting his daughter's debut film &lsquo;The Archies&rsquo;.
She emphasized the close connection between Tollywood and Bollywood, highlighting the deep affection and friendship uniting these film industries.
The opening ceremony of the film festival, which was held at the Netaji Indoor Stadium in the City of Joy, was attended by superstar Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha, Sonakshi Sinha, Mahesh Bhatt and Sourav Ganguly.
This edition is scheduled until December 12, featuring 219 films from 39 countries across 23 venues in Kolkata. Among the selections, there are 72 feature films alongside 50 short films and documentaries.
The opening ceremony kicked off with a special performance by a group of artistes.
The guests added to the excitement, joining Mamata Banerjee in dancing to the festival's theme song. Salman captivated everyone with his iconic Dabangg hook step, drawing all the attention.
Speaking on the occasion, Anil Kapoor said, &lsquo;Kolkata, for me, is not just a city. It's a sensory experience. A journey and a treasure trove of memories that have shaped my career and love for cinema.&rsquo;
He also remembered Satyajit Ray's renowned film Nayak (1966), starring Uttam.
&lsquo;Uttam Kumar is a mahanayak,&rsquo; Anil added.
The Kolkata Film Festival was organised for the first time in 1995. But it was opened to the public in 2011.

Ranbir posed with Neetu Kapoor on the red carpet and later engaged in a conversation with Ranveer Singh, outside the screening room.
For the event, Ranbir was seen wearing blue formal pants with a grey blazer jacket and a red and blue tie, seemingly a nod to The Archies.

Agastya Nanda, Amitabh Bachchan, and Jaya Bachchan&rsquo;s grandson, is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Zoya Akhtar&rsquo;s &lsquo;The Archies&rsquo;.
At the premiere of the film in Mumbai, the entire Bachchan and Nanda family gathered together to support Agastya.
Jaya Bachchan expressed her discomfort when photographers asked her to pose, saying, &lsquo;Don&rsquo;t shout.&rsquo; She was later joined by the family for a photograph despite her initial reaction.

'The Archies', directed by Zoya Akhtar, marks the acting debut of SRK's daughter Suhana Khan, Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda and producer Boney Kapoor's daughter Khushi Kapoor.
The coming-of-age musical follows the lives of Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Ethel and Dilton who will take audiences to the fictional hilly town of Riverdale. The film explores friendship, freedom love, heartbreak, and rebellion.
The film is all set to stream on Netflix on December 7.

Welcoming Agastya Nanda to the movies, Abhishek wrote, &lsquo;All you have to do is reach out and I'll be there to hold your hand.'

Zoya Akhtar&rsquo;s &lsquo;The Archies&rsquo;, starring Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan, and Khushi Kapoor among others, is all set to release on Netflix on December 7. Ahead of its premiere, a special screening of the film was held in Mumbai which was attended by a slew of celebrities.&nbsp;
The Bachchan family, Shah Rukh Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Kajol were among many others present at the event.&nbsp;
Hours after the screening of &lsquo;The Archies&rsquo;, Abhishek Bachchan took to Instagram to welcome his nephew Agastya to the movies. Sharing a picture from the screening, Abhishek wrote, &lsquo;All you have to do is reach out and I'll be there to hold your hand. Welcome to the movies my dearest Agastya!&rsquo;
Janhvi Kapoor also took to social media to cheer for her sister Khushi. She shared a picture from the screening and wrote, &lsquo;The sunshine of my life and now the sunshine of cinema. You are magical.&rsquo;&nbsp;
In the picture, Khushi was seen seated on Janhvi&rsquo;s lap, and the latter hugged her tight.&nbsp;
At the screening, Janhvi looked stunning in a shimmering, stone-studded gown.&nbsp;
About &lsquo;The Archies&rsquo;
The trailer for the film was released in November. The forthcoming film promises to be a tale of friendship as the gang strives to save their town, Riverdale.&nbsp;
Talking about the idea of adapting &lsquo;The Archies&rsquo; comics, Zoya Akhtar said that she was initially unsure if the essence of the comic could be retained, but &lsquo;Since it&rsquo;s a global IP, I need to be able to take something from here and do it in a language that retains its original essence and speaks to kids today. We were excited about that. We have done whatever we wanted to, and now we are getting scared, as always.&rsquo;
The Archies is a heartwarming coming-of-age story set in the vintage aesthetic backdrop of the 1960s and is a collaboration between Netflix India, Tiger Baby, Archie Comics, and Graphic India.
The film will be available on Netflix on December 7.
