A health official in Gandhinagar's Dehgam taluka in Gujarat tested positive for coronavirus days after taking the second dose of the vaccine against the infection, officials said on Saturday. The man took the first dose on January 16 and the second one on February 15. His samples were examined when he had high fever and he tested positive on February 20, Gandhinagar's Chief Health Officer Dr MH Solanki said. The man is currently in home isolation, Solanki added. The CHO said it generally takes around 45 days for antibodies against the infection to develop after both the doses are administered. He also said adhering to COVID protocols is a must even after taking both doses.
