The Centre told the Supreme Court that as of 11 am on Tuesday, there were no migrant workers seen on roads. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the top court that over 22 lakh daily wagers are being provided food. Mehta added that those who are still on the road were stopped and and moved to shelters and quarantine facilities. The Supreme Court also asked the government on the functionality of the Whatsapp chatbox. The government said it was in its initial stages but work was being done to enhance it. Chief Justice said that fear-mongering over the novel coronavirus disease could take more lives than Covid-19 itself. The Court has asked the government to rope in as many people as possible to disseminate correct news about the pandemic.
