Google Meet to be made free to use--as long as you have Gmail

Apr 30, 2020 09:18 IST

According to reports, Google will soon make its Google Meet video conferencing software accessible to non G Suite members for free, as long as they have a Gmail account. Starting May, Gmail users will be able to host and join meetings with up to 100 participants through Google Meet through their website or iOS and Android apps. Meetings for free accounts will be limited to 60 minutes per session, but the rule won't be enforced till September 30. However, availability will be expanding gradually, and potential users can find out if they can use it by visiting landing.google.com/googlemeet.
