Google Maps India launches new safety feature for travellers
To ensure safety while traveling, Google Maps has rolled out a new feature, called 'Stay Safer' in India. The feature will alert people, who travel by public transport, when the vehicle goes off-route. It is currently going to be available only to Android users. You can even share the live status of your route. By clicking on the 'Stay Safer' button, a notification will be sent to you if the driver deviates more than 0.5 km from the suggested route. There is no information about when the feature will be launched for iOs users.
