Tech giant Google may have been the first to send employees home last year but it may very well be the first to limit remote working options for it's staff as well.
Google is looking at calling back staff to offices on a volunteer basis in April gearing of a September 1 'return to work' deadline
An internal memo seen by CNBC states "If employees want to work remotely after Sept. 1, they’re required to apply for a maximum of 14 days remote per year, They can apply for up to 12 months in “the most exceptional circumstances. The company could, however, call employees back to their assigned office at any point, the note said."
Google confirmed the memos and is preparing for a broad reopening in September, when employees will be expected to be in office three days a week.
