Goa announces lockdown till May 3 amid surge in Covid-19 cases

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced a statewide lockdown from 29 April 7 pm till the morning of 3rd May amid frightening surge in Covid-19 cases. 

The chief minister further added that all essential services and grocery stores will be operational, however, all market place, public transport will be shut and casinos and bars in the state will also remain closed.

The government has also announced that several localities will be declared containment zones.
