The spike in Covid-19 cases continues to wreak havoc across the globe. Here are some films about hope & resilience that will lift your mood.

'A Quiet Place'
Starring Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe in the key roles, the film follows the story of a family that navigates a world in which the slightest sound could mean instant death. 

'Room'
Written by Emma Donoghue from her own best-selling novel, 'Room' tells the harrowing story of Ma, a young mother held captive with her 5-year-old son Jack in a small space with only a skylight and no windows. Directed by Lenny Abrahamson, the film stars Brie Larson, Jacob Tremblay in the lead roles. 

'Snowpiercer'
South Korean filmmaker Bong Joon Ho's 'Snowpiercer' is a social masterpiece. Starring Chris Evans and Tilda Swinton, is the key roles. The film is set in 2031, 17 years after an attempt to stop global warming backfires & makes the whole world freeze, except those aboard the main Snowpiercer train. 

'Cast Away'
Directed by Robert Zemeckis, 'Cast Away' follows the story of Chuck Noland, a FedEx analyst who finds himself alone on a deserted island after his cargo plane goes down in a harrowing crash. The film stars Tom Hanks, Helen Hunt, and Nick Searcy in key roles. 

'The Terminal'
With Tom Hanks in the lead, the film teaches us about the art of patience. 'The Terminal' follows the life of Viktor Navorski, a Balkan traveler who finds himself stranded at New York’s JFK Airport after his homeland erupts into civil war and his passport becomes void.
