In perhaps a surprise to no one, India topped the list of the world's most polluted cities in 2019. According to IQAir AirVisual's 2019 World Air Quality Report, Ghaziabad is the city with the worst air quality in the world with an an average AQI of 110.2. Overall, 21 out of the 30 world's most polluted cities of 2019 were from India. Others making the top ten were Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Greater Noida and Bandhwari. In terms of country-wise rankings, India stood at the fifth spot with Bangladesh on top followed by Pakistan, Mongolia and Afghanistan.
