FSSAI issues new guidelines for e-commerce platforms

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has issued new guidelines for online food order and delivery companies. It has stated that the food can be intercepted at any point from when it's being cooked till it has been delivered to the client. The platforms will have to make a mandatory mention on their websites to make customers aware of their rights while ordering food according to the FSS Act. Food should have a shelf life of 45 days before expiry at the time of delivery, this is more relevant for grocery based platforms.
