Ford Figo Automatic launched in India

Jul 22, 2021 21:22 IST

Ford India has finally reintroduced an automatic option on the Figo hatchback. The car now comes with a new 6-speed torque converter unit and is offered in two variants. The Titanium trim is priced at Rs. 7.75 lakh, while the Titanium+ variant is priced at Rs. 8.20 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom Delhi. Ford used to offer the Figo with an automatic Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), which was dropped from the line-up in 2019. Instead, the new torque converter option is more affordable and promises better demand for the automaker. The new transmission choice is paired with the same 1.2-litre petrol engine that develops 95 bhp and 119 Nm of peak torque. There are no other changes on the hatchback. The Ford Figo automatic competes against the Maruti Suzuki AMT, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and the Volkswagen Polo.
