As India prepares to host the FIFA Women's Under 17 World Cup, the focus once again returns on the legacy that the tournament will leave behind. The Tournament director of this edition Roma Khanna in an interview to editorji confirmed that the event will help rear the next generation of footballers in the country. By hosting the 2nd ever World Cup after having the men's under 17 tournament in 2017, the organising committee is aiming to develop and maintain the existing infrastructure that the country has. The Championship kicks off on 2nd November later this year and will be played at 5 venues across India.
