E-commerce giant Flipkart plans to replace 40% of its delivery van fleet with electric vehicles by March 2020. The move comes amid a growing chorus among companies to reduce their carbon footprint along with a major push from the government to adopt environment-friendly vehicles by 2025. Flipkart said that it will deploy 160 vehicles by the end of this year, adding that electric last-mile delivery vehicles will help cut the company's carbon emissions by over 50%.
