Actor Ajay Devgn&nbsp;starrer&nbsp;'Maidaan' has got a new release date. The film which was scheduled to hit the screens on December 11, will now release on August 13, 2021. Sharing a poster of the film on social media, the film's lead actor Ajay Devgn tweeted: '2021 Independence week'. Based on the life of&nbsp;football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, the film will portray Ajay Devgn&nbsp;donning the hat of the legendary football coach&nbsp;who was responsible for taking Indian football to new heights.

Filmmaker Vinod Kapri has claimed that he has already made an advance payment for the rights for a film on a 15-year-old girl Jyoti Kumari who cycled from Gurugam to Darbhanga in Bihar during the coronavirus lockdown. Taking to Twitter Kapri wrote that as per an agreement on May 27, the rights of the film is with Bhagirathi Films Pvt Ltd and no one else can make the movie. Kapri also tagged a video which showed signing of the agreement and a statement to that effect by Mohan Paswan, the girl's father. The statement came after film production venture Wemakefilmz on Friday revealed that they have legally acquired the exclusive motion picture rights for the story.

Actor-producer Ajay Devgn has announce a film based on the June 15, 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese troops in Ladakh's Galwan Valley. According to reports, the untitled film will narrate the story of the sacrifice of 20 Indian armymen who fought the Chinese army.
