Thousands of farmers from Muzaffarnagar, who attended the Kisan Mahapanchayat against Centre's farm laws decided to proceed towards the Ghazipur border from Saturday to support the farmers' protest. A massive crowd gathered for a farmers' "Mahapanchayat" or meeting called by Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Naresh Tikait in Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, less than 150 km from the Ghazipur border near Delhi where Tikait's brother Rakesh is leading a protest against farm laws. ‘If Rakesh Tikait is held, we will also court arrest’, AAP MP Sanjay Singh said at the mahapanchayat . Singh extending support asked the Kisan Mahapanchayat to move to Delhi assuring ‘there will be no shortage of water, food and anything else in Delhi’
