Social media giant Facebook on Thursday said it is asking its independent experts to rule on whether former president Donald Trump's suspension from Facebook and Instagram should stand in place for instigating US Capitol Hill riots on January 6.
Facebook is raising the issue with its independent oversight board, known informally as the Facebook 'supreme court'. The body has the authority to make binding rulings even chief executive Mark Zuckerberg must abide by.
