Apr 17, 2019 18:19 IST

Vijay Mallya is feeling sorry for debt-ridden Jet Airways. In a tweet, the fugitive liquor baron extended his sympathies to Naresh Goyal, the ex-founder of crisis-hit Jet Airways, saying "Even though Jet was a major competitor to Kingfisher, feel sorry to see such a large private airline on the brink of failure". Mallya also questioned the Centre for bailing out Air India, saying being a PSU can't be an excuse for discrimination. Mallya also reiterated his offer to pay back 100% of the money he owes to banks. Mallya, is facing charges of financial irregularities amounting to over Rs 9,000 crore.
