Indian shuttler HS Prannoy has tendered an unconditional apology to the Badminton Association of India for his attack on the federation after it did not recommend him for the Arjuna Award. BAI was also disappointed with the World number 28 due to disciplinary issues. Prannoy had left the Indian squad at Asian Badminton Championship in February, which put the country's chances of winning a historic medal at risk. BAI had also left him out of this year’s National Sports Awards and had given him 15 days to respond on his misconduct. Prannoy though was recommended for the Arjuna award by national coach Pullela Gopichand even before BAI had asked for his apology.
