A viral video, of a tea stall vendor adding cubes of salted butter to a pot of boiling tea has enraged tea lovers online. The video, shared on Instagram by a page called FoodieAgra was reportedly shot at Agra's Baba Tea Stall, near Rambabu Parathe Belangung. Some angry viewers even suggested adding pav bhaji and mayonnaise to the tea! Butter tea however is very common in parts of Nepal and Bhutan.
