This six-meter-long snake-like robot called Eelume could make deep sea work cheaper, less polluting and safer!
Developed by Norwegian company, the robot with sensors and a camera can stay underwater at 500 meters for 6 months at a docking station.
It can help remove sediments and marine growth, carry out inspections and thus reducing the need to employ costly surface vessels,
It also sends back videos and data back to the control room on shore!
The company hopes to deploy the first robot by next year.
