The UK is considering imposing another nationwide lockdown after the country reported a fresh surge of Covid-19 cases. 4,322 infections were recorded on Friday alone. Prime Minister Boris Johnson admitted major challenges in providing tests, adding that the govt wants to keep schools open and try to keep all parts of the economy open, as far as they possibly can. Johnson added that the govt is looking at local lockdowns in large parts of the country. New measures that could mean another lockdown are due to be announced on Monday or Tuesday.
