Dec 27, 2019 19:22 IST

The early-stage funding in Indian start-ups more than doubled to ₹693 crores in 2019 compared to ₹334 crores in 2018. This was driven by a 22% increase in the number of deals and a 70% increase in deal size, said a report by InnoVen Capital. The research also revealed that Bengaluru, the National Capital Region (NCR) and Mumbai continue to form the core of the start-up eco-system. The share of Bengaluru was 37% and Mumbai's 20% hovered around 2018 levels while NCR saw a significant rise, increasing from 17% in 2018 to 29% this year.
