E-comm players confident of bumper Diwali sales

RedSeer Consulting has said almost 32 million users may buy from e-commerce firms in the upcoming mega Diwali sale - that's 75 million transactions this year, against 45 million last year. The number also sits at odds with the prevailing economic scenario and slumping demand across industries. Flipkart and Amazon have routinely shrugged off slowdown stories and RedSeer’s numbers estimate that e-commerce firms are expected to clock business of $3.7 billion, 60-65 per cent higher than last year.
