DRDO successfully test fires extended range BrahMos missile

India successfully test-fired the extended range BrahMos supersonic cruise missile which can hit targets at over 400 km range. The supersonic cruise missile was tested from ITR Balasore at 10.30 am on Wednesday. Test was carried out under PJ-10 project of Defence Research and Development Organisation under which the missile was launched with an indigenous booster. Congratulating the team of scientists involved, DRDO chairman Dr G Satheesh Reddy said the successful test will lead to adding more indigenous content in the missile.This was the second testfiring of the extended range version of BrahMos supersonic missile.
