Aug 06, 2020 15:13 IST

A govt document that acknowledged Chinese aggression on the LAC has vanished from the defence ministry website two days after it was put up, reports said. The document titled "Chinese Aggression on LAC" noted that PLA's aggression has been increasing along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and more particularly in Galwan valley since May 5, 2020. It further added that "the Chinese side has transgressed in the areas of Kungrang Nala, Gogra and north bank of Pangong Tso Lake on May 17-18". It also said that the the present standoff is likely to be prolonged. However, on Thursday morning the document vanished from the website. Citing a report on the now deleted document, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tweeted: "Why is the PM lying?"
