Did JP Nadda drop the ‘Pawri’ catchphrase while campaigning in Bengal?

Feb 26, 2021 22:42 IST | By Editorji News Desk

The battle for Bengal is quite the political potboiler, and stirring in some pop-culture references doesn't harm.

The BJP has been conducting a massive campaign on Didi's turf in Bengal over the last couple of weeks, with senior leaders from Amit Shah to JP Nadda to Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaching out to voters ahead of the assembly polls.

At one such election rally in West Bengal’s Anandapuri, BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda dropped a catchphrase from the recent 'Pawri' trend to announce the party’s development plan for the state.

However, many pointed out that it was the Trinamool Congress who jumped onto the 'Pawri' bandwagon first.
