Emerging menswear fashion designer Priya Ahluwalia, who runs her label in London, has been honoured with the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design.
The award was presented to Ahluwalia by the Countess of Wessex on behalf of the Queen, in a virtual ceremony at London Fashion Week.
She has been awarded for "her active contribution to changing the industry for the better". Her collections are crafted using vintage and deadstock material.
This isn't the first time Priya has been awarded for her innovative approach. In 2019, she also won the H&M Design Prize and was among eight brands to jointly win the prestigious LVMH Prize in 2020.
