A new political storm seems to be taking shape in Karnataka after Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara alleged he was denied the Chief Minister post because he belonged to the Dalit community. He said that he missed out on the top job thrice. Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah sought to diffuse the situation, stating that the Congress is at the forefront of taking care of 'Dalits and other neglected sections of society'.
