Delhi-NCR gets a portal for tracking lost/stolen phone

IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has launched an online portal that will facilitate blocking and tracing of stolen or lost mobile phones in Delhi-NCR. The initiative was first launched in Mumbai in September 2019, and will be extended to other parts of the country in 2020. Citizens can register their request on https://ceir.gov.in along with a copy of the registered FIR to block the IMEI number of their lost/stolen devices. The request ID can be used to track the status of the request and unblock the IMEI number in the future.
