In a press conference, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal slammed the Punjab and Haryana govts asking them for a specific date when they would stop stubble burning. He said the AAP govt was doing everything it can and blaming the people of Delhi for pollution is wrong. The Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority, a Supreme Court-mandated panel, has declared a public health emergency in the Delhi-NCR. "It is extremely unfortunate that on social media some opposition leaders were inciting children to burst more crackers. We want specific timelines from the Punjab, Haryana and central governmnet on the issue of crop burning", said Kejriwal.
