IPL 2021: Defending Champions and favourites Mumbai Indians play Royal Challengers Bangalore

The captain and vice-captain of the Indian cricket team are going to be up against each other as defending champions Mumbai Indians led by Rohit Sharma will be up against Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore in the opening game of IPL 2021 in Chennai.

A turning track is expected at Chepauk as both teams are prepping up to play an extra spinner for the game. While Mumbai Indians are 5-time winners of the IPL trophy, Bangalore is yet to taste success despite reaching the final on 3 occasions.

The rivalry between the two sides is fierce but Mumbai has had an upper hand as they have won 17 out of the 27 games played between the two teams.
