Deepika Padukone resigns as MAMI chairperson, says cannot give 'undivided focus'

Apr 12, 2021 13:26 IST | By Editorji News Desk

Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone has announced her departure from MAMI (Mumbai Academy of Moving Image).

The 'Chhapaak' actress said that because of her current state of work, she will be unable to give MAMI the undivided focus and attention it requires and is thus resiguning as the body's chairperson.

Calling the experience as 'enriching', Deepika said that she hope she will continue to have a great relationship with them.

Deepika had replaced filmmaker Kiran Rao as the MAMI chairperson in 2019.
