Dark chocolate could reduce depression risk: Study

Aug 02, 2019 10:06 IST

Good news for dark chocolate lovers! New research has found that eating dark chocolate could lower the risk of depression. Researchers from the University College London, the University of Calgary and Alberta Health Services Canada quizzed almost 14,000 people on how often they eat chocolate, their mood and other lifestyle factors. The results revealed that people who consumed dark chocolate in the last 2 days had 70% lower chances of reporting depressive symptoms than those who didn’t eat any chocolate.
