Criticising Judiciary, and criticising the decision making process is permissible as Indian courts have evolved over the years, said senior advocate Harish Salve while speaking at the 16th PD Desai Memorial Lecture on Saturday. Salve said judiciary hears cases in certain ways as it is always under the public radar which should make the decision-making process also come under scrutiny. Questioning the maturity of people to understand which allegations are to be taken seriously, Salve says a line needs to be drawn in between whose criticism is to be taken into serious considerations. Salve also took reference from recent events of judges being criticized and said public figures need to accept criticism. Criticism of judges is not 'scandalising the courts' as Constitutional law is not static.
