Due to the surge in Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra, the Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai has issued fresh guidelines to be followed by the devotees on the occasion of Angarki Chathurthi this year.
The temple witnesses large crowds on the occasion, and the temple trust has said that offline darshan will not be allowed this year. Devotees can book an appointment and enter the temple sanctum sanctorum virtually by scanning a QR code.
In a video released by Adesh Bandekar, chairperson of the Siddhivinayak temple trust, he informed that the doors of the temple will open at 8 am and devotees will be allowed for darshan till 9 am. The access barriers of the main temple will only open if the temperature of the devotee is normal and if they are wearing a mask.
