The Rajasthan government has imposed Section 144 in Jodhpur till March 21 owing to a steep rise in coronavirus cases. A cap of 100 attendees has been made mandatory for all public gatherings, including weddings. Only essential services and schools and colleges have been allowed to function, according to an order by the Jodhpur Police.
With a fresh surge in Covid-19 cases in neighbouring Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh has also sounded a high alert across all adjoining districts. MP govt authorities will also conduct thermal scanning of all those travelling from the neighbouring state. The decision was taken during a review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Bhopal.
