The delay in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics has not only disrupted Japan's meticulous planning but it will further pose financial issues for the country. The resulting postponement due to the Covid-19 pandemic might cost the Japanese up to 18 billion dollars which will financially hit the country hard. The complete set up for the summer games cumulatively cost Japan 12 billion dollars that also constitutes of small businesses, hotels and venues. According to reports an additional cost of 6 billion dollars will have to be incurred by Japan in order to reorganise the games in 2021. On Monday, the Olympic organisers announced that the new dates for the delayed Games in 2021 will be revealed this week.
