Apr 11, 2021 22:39 IST | By Editorji News Desk

Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said on Sunday that an appropriate decision on imposing a lockdown in the western state will be taken after April 14.

A virtual meeting of the Covid-19 task force was chaired by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to discuss measures, including imposition of a lockdown, to break the virus chain.

Tope said that the duration of the lockdown and how to handle its economic fallout was discussed and the task force is of the view that a lockdown is required.

Meanwhile, the state on Sunday recorded 63,294 new Covid-19 cases and 349 deaths.
