UK health care experts and pediatrics specialists have warned that a rising number of children are becoming ill with a rare syndrome that could be linked to the novel coronavirus. An alert, issued by NHS England, said that there was "a growing concern" that a coronavirus-related inflammatory syndrome is emerging in children in the UK or that there may be another unidentified infection linked to these cases. A number of young patients have turned up at hospitals with symptoms similar to toxic shock syndrome such as high temperature, low blood pressure, rash and difficulty breathing. Evidence from around the world suggests that children are the population least affected by Covid-19.
