Hours after testing positive for Covid-19, India's Saina Nehwal and HS Prannoy's final Covid-19 test miraculously came out to be negative and both have been given green signal to participate in their respective first round matches at the Thailand Open. Badminton Association of India said in a statement that their timely intervention with all the support from BWF and other stakeholders made it possible. In another shocking incident, former World number 1 Kidambi Srikanth slammed Thailand Open organisers after he was left with a bleeding nose due to several Covid-19 tests. He took to twitter and wrote that the players take care of themselves for the match not to come and shed blood for this. He added that he gave 4 tests after arriving but none of them have been pleasant.
