Covid-19 fallout: Tamil Nadu govt announces 'all pass' for students of 9-11

Feb 25, 2021 20:19 IST | By Editorji News Desk

Tamil Nadu CM E Palanisami on Thursday said that the students of Standard 9, 10, and 11, facing their annual exam or board exam in 2020-21 will be passed without writing the examination.

Palaniswamy cited Covid-19 as the reason behind the decision in the Tamil Nadu assembly on Thursday. The chief minister said that the syllabus for the concerned classes was also downsized by taking into account the practical difficulties of teachers and students.

Schools in Tamil Nadu were closed on March 25 last year due to the pandemic and were reopened on Jan 19 for students of Class 10 and Class 12.
